Bella Karn is an InnoEngineer at InnoEngine. Her primary focus has been community development in areas across Kentucky. She is a recent graduate of the University of Kentucky where she studied Computer Science. During her junior year, she studied human-computer interaction and design at the University of Sydney. 

Before working at InnoEngine, Bella completed two internships in legislative affairs. The first was in the U.S. Senate, where she focused her time on artificial intelligence and data security regulation. Later, she focused on what she learned about tech regulation during her first internship at the Entertainment Software Association, where she worked as a government affairs intern. This gave her the opportunity to learn about regulatory issues in both the tech and entertainment spaces.

As a student at UK, Bella also participated in multiple research projects. She spent a summer at the University of Nevada Las Vegas studying public transportation. The project focused on mapping the quickest route from point A to point B while using multiple forms of transportation. While in Australia, Bella researched how elderly people interact with wearable devices. 

Bella spends the rest of her time on hobbies, including knitting, playing the guitar, singing, and rock climbing. She also enjoys reading feminist literature and gender studies books, and writing about gendered phenomena on the internet.
